Z for Zanotti

Am I the only one with a Zanotti crush? It can't be..A 'crush' won't do my feelings justice towards Zanotti. 3 months ago, I woke up and decided Zanotti is my new obsession, i'm sure no one would blame me seeing all the beautiful heels i'm sharing with you below.

My next purchase? Is definitely a Zanotti..still not sure what i'd be getting..so many options, yes i'd like to have them all..greedy..much?
Enjoy the gallery below and develop your own 'Zanobsession'!

Zanotti - Sketch Spring 2013

I came across a quote that i've seen on a bag that I really liked:
'Shoes make me happy. I'm superficial. Whatever.'

Fringe Action

We're getting fringy this spring / summer! Forget studs for a bit, i'm not over studs yet, but fringes are growing on me. I've bought my first fringed wedge sandals from MNG 2 weeks ago and I cannot get over them.
Be edgy and work your fringe attitude this season. I've looked up a couple of pieces that I found interesting and would definitely buy.

What's interesting about fashion now is that it's a combination of different eras. Fringes were the it thing in the 20's with all the gorgeous beady and fringe dresses. While in the 70's, there was a hint of suede fringy outfits. And i shall not forget the 90's, where we also saw fringe action that included jeans and denim.

I like to keep it simple yet edgy when dressing up; in case of fringes, i'd go with one fringed item to enhance my outfit and make it stand out. Choose your piece whether is was a poncho, skirt or heels and balance your outfit accordingly with a plain colored jeans, t-shirt or flats when choosing a fringed piece.

One fringed item i'd like to buy? A bag. I've come across lots of fringed bags the last couple of weeks that I've liked. Suede totes in camel tone. Make sure if you're wearing a fringed bag not to wear more fringes in the outfit. Wear the bag with jeans and a plain top and flats for a morning outfit. Uplift your outfit with heels for a lunch date or an afternoon outing. If you feel experimental, go with a checkered shirt, shorts and a fringed bag. Pair that with booties or some flats.

Dresses not to miss at the SAG Awards

As if the Golden Globe's carpet and fashion isn't enough, the SAG carpet rolled out to show beautiful gowns.
I have a favorite for 2013! One of the most gorgeous dresses i've laid eyes on. Check out the hottest dresses and looks from the SAG awards.

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior Spring 13
Katrina Bowden in Badgley Mischka

Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen

Naomi Watts in Marchesa

Lots of neutrals, navy and whites with some beaded simple gowns.

Marion Cotillard tops my list of best dressed and best overall look. She looked gorgeous in a Christian Dior pre-fall 2013 dress in white and navy blue. Loved the sleek, short hair - to the side look. She looked her elegant self as always.
I love the playfulness of the dress; the way it's folded and how it's shorter at the front. The small detailing of the ribbon around the waist; simple yet elegant. Keeping her accessories subtle, Marion wore a beautiful necklace and a bracelet.

Dresses to love at the Globes

Still can't get over how awesome the fact that Hugh Jackman went back home with a Golden Globe himself! (yes i am posting a pic of him looking all glammed up and handsome on the red carpet). However, red carpet fashion has got to be one of the best things on an award's night. Gorgeous dresses worn by gorgeous stars strolled down the carpet this Golden Globes and i'm posting my favorites. Look out for tangerine and oranges this spring!

Lea Michele in Elie Saab

Kerry Washington in Miu Miu

Heidi Klum in Alexandre Vauthier

Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen

Isla Fisher in Reem Acra

Amy Adams in Marchesa

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture

Anne Hathaway in Chanel

Miranda Kerr in Zuhair Murad

My favorite overall look and dress goes to Jessica Alba who wore a tangerine Oscar de la Renta masterpiece. She complimented the dress with a sparkly diamonds necklace and a pretty curled side hairdo. Not very sure about the lipstick, but she pulled it off.

As promised, i'm ending with Hugh Jackman's photo from the Globes :)

Happy Feet

New obsession alert!! i'm developing my own fashion obsession syndrome and this time it's related to feet. I'm not gonna say much about it, i'm gonna let the pics speak for themselves.
Hello feet jewelry and accessories! Anklets gone a step further.

So as you can see..so many options to choose from and all of them hard to say no to! Where to wear them? I asked myself the same question :) They're not your usual everyday accessory, but you can definitely spice up your outfit with that small addition.
Beach day out or a pool party..check. Go with a beady one to match your beach outfit / bikini. A bachelorette or a girls party..also check. Pick a theme and have the jewelry ready to wear whether it was indoors or outdoors.
Outdoor lunch date..definitely go for it. You can spice up those flat flip flops and wear the anklets with them. Make sure you show them off! Wear a knee-length dress, a skirt or shorts.
And last but not least, there are the bridal feet jewelry. They're just really pretty. Unless your wedding is on the beach and you decide to go barefoot, you can wear them for the pre-wedding photo-shoot.

I found some fancy pieces on etsy.com. The pics above are of actual pieces that are being sold on etsy. Prices range according to piece.

Find yourself a reason, buy them and wear them!

*A pedicure is mandatory ;)

Toronto Film Fest Looks

Film festivals, classic red carpet, dresses, gowns, make up and hairdos..basically all good things come together.

Loved 2 looks, 2 ladies that charm in their own ways, both wearing Lebanese international fashion designers dresses.

Kristen Stewart in Zuhair Murad knee length dress. I love the overall look; dress, heels, makeup and hair that complement her dress. The dress gave her an elegant edge without being too dressy or much older. I'm so glad she wore pointed heels, this brought out Kristen's edge; wearing more of a rounded cut would have been preppy, more of a day look rather than night.
Loved the lipstick color; it complemented her skin tone, hair and dress.

Kristen Stewart in Zuhair Murad
My second Toronto film fest look goes to Keira Knightley; an all time favorite. I've always liked her red carpet appearances; that includes dresses and gowns, makeup and hairdos.
Can't go wrong with a black dress / gown. Keira looked gorgeous in Elie Saab Haute Couture for Anna Karenina premiere at the festival.
Loved the cut, shape, i even liked the belt although i'm not really fond of belted gowns. She kept her makeup and hairdo simple, pairing the dress with an effortless pair of earrings to complement her overall look. Loved the sided do and keeping her hair up; so she doesn't hide the delicate design of the dress at the shoulders.

Keira Knightley in Elie Saab Haute Couture

I'm a fan of accessorizing, but both actresses kept their accessories minimal and very subtle, which was more than enough. Their looks didn't need any extra complimenting or any big pieces to show off.

August Ads

Happy September 1st! :)

August has been one long month; lots of work, Ramadan, Eid, Olympics..lots of events!
I came across 2 ads that I really liked that i've seen in August and wanted to share:

1. Visa's One perfect dive.
Keywords: Olympics London 2012, Visa, David Boudia, Burj Khalifa

I found it interesting because:
- I am very fascinated by Burj Khalifa
- Loved the concept and relating the dive to the burj..gave a sense of number (how many jumps David does per year) to the viewers
- Visa and its usual innovation, looking at the ad from an Olympics point of view; sponsoring the sports events
- The music
- Loved the videography and direction, and stripping the colors.

2. Galaxy's Ramadan ad (Arabic)
Galaxy, Mars
Impact BBDO, Egypt
Keywords: Galaxy, Ramadan, relationships

This was a funny spot, very unlike Galaxy and its dreamy melty serene ads. I believe it's built on the most basic insight of women eating chocolate to feel better. The ad suggests occasions where a women would get disappointed, reaches for Galaxy to feel better.

let's wait and see what ads September brings along!
